When my professor was teaching us about dementia while I was an undergraduate. He said, “dementia is categorized as old age diseases i.e it is very common among older people. It is a result of damage and worn out nerve cells. One of the biggest factors that causes dementia is Alzheimer disease; several diseases can cause dementia.”
Do not think that when one is suffering from memory loss, it is only dementia; there are many examples of memory disorder diseases such as amnesia, cognitive impairment, confusion, delirium, encephalopathy etc.
The purpose of this article is to learn the kind of food one can eat to prevent memory disorder. Some of the things mentioned here also improve one's health and prevent some memory disorders.
Dementia is memory loss disease. Damaging of brain nerves or cells affect memory, thinking faculty and social abilities that result in dementia.
Just as I was taught, I believed that the disease is very common among the aged.
According to my study, I concluded that dementia often occurs in older people due to damage to nerve cells in their brains.
One of the biggest factors of Dementia is Poor Nutrition. I can imagine a man that is above 50 years eating ice cream like a baby, refined sugar like Johnny, and loves carbonated drinks like primary school students.
If a kid eats plenty of ice creams, it does not have a negative impact like older people because of their system. In fact, I can no longer eat ice cream like I was 15 years ago; if I do that now, I'll worsen my health because my body does not require such an amount of ice cream any longer.
When I was in Basic class, my mother would include at least one fruit or carbonated drink in my lunch box. Most of those drinks contain refined sugar and artificial sweetener.
But today, if I continue like that, the result would not favor my health.
Therefore, there are Specific Foods that are Good for a specific Age.
An adult should eat the best foods that will improve his/her health while aged or older people should eat the best foods that will improve their health.
For me, if an old man or woman is drinking carbonated and artificial sweetener often, it is a poison to him/her. I don't even advise that unless the doctor prescribes such things to him.
There, poor nutrition is not good for any level of development. Lack of protein in the diet of a baby may result to Kwashiorkor; and also lack of protein in an adult could result in swelling in the leg, ankle, abdomen, feet- it is a disease called edema; it could also cause, slow-healing injuries, skin, hair and nail problem.
But we know that children need more protein than anyone for growth.

Reduce intake of carbonated drinks and artificial sweetener
The moment you are above 30 you need to reduce the intake of certain things so that you won't be addicted to it in your old age. If you are taking 7 carbonated or artificial sweetener drinks in a week, you need to reduce it. Too much sugar in your body can lead to diseases.
Alcohol is not bad because your body needs little quantity of it; excessive intake of alcohol is detrimental to your health. Heavy drinkers or people who are addicted to alcohol are at risk of certain diseases. Long exposure to alcohol such as beer, or spirit drinks can lead to memory loss and eyes problems.
You have to decide where you belong
We do advise people to stay away from smoking because if we tell people the uses of smoking, people will abuse it more.
Cigarettes could be good and healthy but we don't say this because the effects of cigarettes are far more than its benefits. Smoke damage some brain cells,

My advice: abstain from smoking unless your doctor tells you to smoke.
Sativa cannabis (marijuana) has more benefits on your health. Because people abuse marijuana, that is the reason we say, ‘it is not good’.

If a doctor does not recommend smoking to you, do not engage in it.
People who smoke or drink will tell you the hell they went through during withdrawal symptoms.

Vegetables, berries and nuts are very rich in antioxidants which can prevent one from dementia. Antioxidants fruits contain Vitamin A, B, C and E. They prevent our body against diseases such as heart disease and degenerative diseases such as a muscular degeneration.
Eating antioxidants fruits are beneficial to your health; and eating fruits in an empty stomach is very good i.e eating fruits as a breakfast.

I love blended fruits, and I blended different types of fruits together.
Sometimes, I blended pineapple and watermelon; then, I added milk with it. This is very yummy!
Taking this early in the morning before heading to office makes me stronger.
If you want to enjoy it more, blend them together, and put it inside fridge. Then, before you head to work, take one glass cup of it and while you about to sleep, take one cup of it. You will sleep like a baby.
