‘Arcane Skinwater’ The Ultimate Monster

Whenever I see the ‘Shade of gray’ ruleset, I always think of monsters to use: this is because ‘shade of gray' is technical.

At times when I decided to use only melee monsters, my opponent used another strategy. Introduction of ‘Arcane Skinwater’ was a perfect one! This monster can be used when ‘shade of gray’ is given in a battle. If not Arcane Skinwater I would have a headache while selecting monsters to use.

Rules of the battle

Only neutral monsters may be used. Only neutral monsters were allowed in this battle because of this rule. When I checked monsters that were available for this battle, I realized that magic monsters were my best choice. I decided to use Arcane Skinwater and Doctor Blight.

Fire and Regret

All units have return fire (returns 50% of ranged damage to the attacker, rounded up). This was the reason I did not use a monster with range ability. A true strike from ranged monsters returns 50% damage to the attacker; and that was the reason I did not use a monster with ranged attack. When opponent's Drybone Raider attacked Ulundin Overseer, it returned 1 damage to Drybone Raider. This was because Drybone Raider had 2 range damage. If a had 4 ranged attacks, and it successfully attacks when ‘Fire and Regret’ are among the battle, 2 damages would be returned to the attacker.

Max mana cap for the battle. Absolutely! Only five mana cap was allowed in this battle; and that was the reason I could not select six monsters.

Ulundin Overseer was very important to me in this battle; the flank ability was a major reason I used it in the first position. We all know, based on the ability of Goblin Mech, it was not possible for Goblin Mech to attack in second position in this kind of battle; it was the flank ability of Ulundin Overseer that made Goblin Mech to attack in the second position. Based on the health of the **Ulundin Overseer, I was confident that it would last longer in this battle. What gave me confidence was its health. Ulundin Overseer was eliminated in this battle in round second round: I believed that if it wasn't Ulundin Overseer, I had used any other monster, it wouldn't have last longer in this battle.

Using Ulundin Overseer in this battle, I knew Goblin Mech would attack from the beginning of the battle till it would be eliminated. I used Goblin Mech in second position in case if Ulundin Overseer. This is one thing about players, most monsters they use in the second position can lead the battle in case the first monster is eliminated. I hardly see players using ranged monsters in the second position when melee monsters and ranged monsters are allowed in the battle. Goblin Mech's melee was another reason I selected the monster, you could see the melee attack. 5 melee attacks were very incredible! Goblin Mech was eliminated in the 3rd round.

Sand Worm

It was necessary to use Sand Worm because a monster with sneak ability was needed. Third position was the best- my thought was that my opponent would use sneak ability; and I don't want Sand Worm to be eliminated faster in this battle. If you watch the battle, you would noticed that Arcane Skinwater was in fourth position; this was because I protected Sand Worm. Before a sneak monster could attack Sand Worm, such a monster would destroy Arcane Skinwater Before destroying Sand Worm, and it is going to take third round to destroy Sand Worm.

I brought this monster to this battle to increase my attacking ability. If not because of this monster, it would have been difficult for my monsters to to destroy opponent's Dumacke Orc. It was retaliate ability of Dumacke Orc that damaged the health of Goblin Mech which made it easy for other monsters to eliminate it. Therefore, the presence of Arcane Skinwater* made the battle so easy for me. Made it easy to eliminate all opponent monsters; without Arcane Skinwater there was no way I could have won the battle.

Doctor Blight

Ability: Affliction, Camouflage and Poison

Health: 5 ♥️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Attack: Magic

Mana: 4

One of the reason I lie using **Doctor Blight in the last position was because of the camouflage ability. This monster cannot be attacked unless it leads the attack. The safest place for Doctor Blight for me is the last position. I have made some silly mistakes in the past where I used **Doctor Blight in the fourth or fifth position of which I was supposed to use it in last position. Even though my opponent use a sneak monster, it would be able to attack Doctor Blight.
