Hive-Up Curation Compilation #17

There are so many good musicians that have crossed through our blockchain space over the years. Sadly, some of them are no longer with us for one reason or another — such as nathankaye, darrenclaxton, and paintingangels — but there are still several here and I will be featuring three of my favorites in this threetunetuesday post! ~ (Left–Right): Raven, Meno, & D vine, pics taken from their videos or blogs ~ I love Raven (@ravenmus1c) and can't say enough good things about her. We dropped by at my in laws' place on Saturday, but the old man was not around. So while the hubby was busy unpacking groceries and stuff for Papa, Yongi and I had some fun with a wee photoshoot while enjoying the shade and coolness the tall trees provided. It was late afternoon (almost 4 pm), and the sun was bright, allowing us to capture nature's reflections on the car's windows (and body) through the rearview mirror, hence, I would refer to them as "Double Reflections". Just because we caught about half the reflections through another reflection, lol!

Sometimes I know exactly where I am going. In that case it’s easy, pick a route and go. More often I have an idea where I’d like to end up, and generally speaking a direction to go. Once in a while I just follow the front wheel and see where it takes me

I am pretty certain that my true step count would be something like 20,000 if only I had remembered to keep my phone in my pocket at all times. I don’t wear a fitness tracker these days, so I’ve got to keep the phone on my person! But I forget. My activities of the day included sweeping and mopping my kitchen floor, going to a bike shop and taking some e bikes out for a test ride (and buying one!

Wandering the streets, I see elderly folks standing behind iron framed windows looking out at the world. They seemed to be doing nothing in particular, just checking out the scene this hot day and spotting wild eyed tourists as one would exotic bird species. It’s a charming cultural practice not found back home where people prefer to squirrel away inside their homes. I smile and say ‘hola’ or ‘buenos dias’, if residents happen to look my way

A story where I thought I was just the narrator until I heard the Words of the Unseen. This second story goes beyond time and place and mixes the long ago with the here and now. Because history keeps repeating, until we learn and do something about it

Algorithm, algorithm, algorithm. At least every social media influencer thinks about this "thing" regularly and how best they can make it work in their favor—for their content and, well, influence. Hardly did I ever think I should be concerned about it while I am not actively putting out content... until recently when I had to wrestle with it

This is our only chance. Every day we are confronted with situations which, many of them, we don't like or which don't meet our expectations. We make judgments about the results we should have, in accordance with our actions. But that's not how it works
