The youngsters nowadays can really take a leaf out of your book, many don't think much about teamwork, learning or doing more than required, and clock off on the dot. These little things matter, and the difference between doing and not doing them can make a massive difference in their future career.
Yours is a great example where it has paid off, and your name will be on the top of the list when someone has a job for a reliable person.

Thanks! Yeah I always try to instill this in people whenever I talk to them, be it people who are new to a job or just those I haven't interacted with before. I think the help-out mindset can be infectious, as it's better to get something done even if it means going a little astray than letting someone suffer. The new people at the job I've had, I give them this mindset and most take it and run with it, others don't but it's important to try and promote it and let them figure out what kind they want.
Looking forward to the work ahead and the people I will be meeting along the way!
