The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt #24 - Family holiday traditions

The SB-Chronicle Prompt #24
With #sb-chronicles... we are posting a question on Mondays, prompting anyone who wants to join in to write their own "Silverblogger" Chronicle for future generations to read! If you feel like suggesting a next prompt yourself... please feel welcome to contact one of the "Silverators" !
> Family holiday traditions
The last month of the year is usually full of celebrations and traditions to share with the family. Over the years, some of those traditions are only in our memories.
My extended family is scattered across different parts of the world, so family holiday traditions are not longer the same. And one of those traditions I miss a lot is that of making Hallacas together as a family. Making Hallacas is much more than just preparing a typical Christmas dish. It is about sharing, passing on the "secret" seasoning from generation to generation. It is common to hear people say that their family's Hallacas are the best. And everyone is right of that, hehe.
Do you have any family holiday traditions at this time of year that you still celebrate, or any traditions that you remember with nostalgia?
Tell us about your family holiday traditions.

The How-2 join the Silverbloggers Chronicles
- Just take the prompt question and answer it in your own Hive post.
- Post in our Silver Bloggers Community.
- Be sure to use #sb-chronicles as your first tag, to get them all listed at the same place.
- Write 100% original content of around 300 words in English.
- Put the link to your post into the comment section of your chosen prompt.
- Have fun.
And soon enough, we’ll have a "Book of Memories and Knowledge" for future generations. There is no time limit for all this... Write whenever you like and whatever prompt suits you. Just make sure you use the proper tag and put a link to your post in the comment section of the chosen prompt, so we can curate your story.
You can check here on all our prompts - always updated with what's to come!

The Idea of the Chronicles
...kinda started when our community advisor SilverScribe came up with the Memoir Mondays. A new topic/question every Monday for a whole year, and we all loved it so much that we've fallen into a kind of writer's block since the "end" of it. Not really, but still...
So what could be more obvious than to continue somehow? Something has to be done to tackle writer's block, or even the ‘all-time low’ at Hive...
The Silverators started brainstorming the hows and the whens to get an idea of what we could all share for the best of our community. To have a sort of "running gag" that never gets old.
In the synonyms for the word memoir, we can find - chronicle. Now, that was it.... our own chronicles! The Silverbloggers Chronicles! The place where we all keep our memories to share with the future. The library of a silly, wild bunch of Silvers. The Silvery Book of the Wise! Hehehe

On Winning the Prize ?!
We are all winners in this by supporting each other in the community, be it with an upvote, a tip, and/or a kind comment...
Since we "all" know that many are just chasing big votes, with not doing much at all, running behind the whales to get them to pay attention, craving for a vote of lots of dollar$. Or the ones being "good (?) followers" and trying to benefit from the Vitamin Relation until there's a Lambo in sight...!
We feel this is the wrong way. A community should be there for each other, even if many humans are conditioned differently. It's more about putting the ego-selfish-ego aside, because life is not about money, it's about joy/happiness. That everyone gets support for their best they give to the community.
You may say it's good to have dreams? Yes, we live these dreams to achieve the best for everyone. Remember - joy/happiness?!
Why are we even writing about this while promoting the Chronicles for our community? It's to make us all realise that many members don't get high-profile support, but we can "help" ourselves. Also, to understand that the idea of a memoir library for future generations is probably not the way to get rich, to finally get that Lambo. It's about sharing viewpoints, knowledge, and the occasional good laugh. It's about individuals, nature, and happiness. And be sure, we continue to curate the pearls in our midst!

Last words...
We would love to get more eyes on this post and all community posts from - @hive-106316 - our Silver Bloggers Mother Account. This is why we make a point of reblogging your posts. Please do the same?!

Come and join our Silver Bloggers community
And a big THANK YOU for your support

Your ‘tips’ and ‘delegations’ help to support the community! Thank you ! The “true” way of a community is to support each other, also on Hive. Since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can. Tipping or delegating is a way to show that you appreciate the work . It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish, pointless Down-Voters. We thank you for all the support you give, anywhere!

Have a good afternoon/evening. When it comes to traditions, we often find ourselves changing for various reasons without realizing it.
