Our Soulful Adventure in Bislig City: Finding Peace at Saint Vincent Parish Church

Hello to all the travelers of this wonderful community @worldmappin. How are you all doing? I hope you're all safe and well today. It's a rainy day here in our town. Hope the weather is good in yours so you can do everything you have to do today.

The local government has already issued a memorandum for suspension of classes due to a low pressure area. So much for the weather update.

Today I want to share with you a soulful visit I had in Saint Vincent de Paul Parish in the City of Bislig. I went there last Saturday to accomplish some things related to my gradate studies. We traveled for more than two hours via a motorcycle.

It's my first time going there through a motorcycle ride. It's much faster than riding a bus which takes about 3-4 hours. So after my school errands my husband and I thought it would be nice to have some tour around the area.

The Saint Vincent Parish is adjacent to the school I'm enrolled so it's the first stop we visited. I'm actually curios how it looks as I can only see the stairs below going up to the church but the gates of the stairs were locked so we looked for other ways and luckily we found the motorway up.

The place looks calm. There's an entrance and exit gates for vehicles. This is the entrance with the name of the Church. There's about 30 meters way up to the church itself. When we got to the top, it's actually somehow overlooking the nearby city proper. And I can see the sea from this point. Bislig City is a coastal city so the city proper is facing the sea.

Around the parish are grottos and sheds where statues of saints are found. This grotto is the first that caught my attention. Mary the mother of God.

Next is the statue of Sto. Niño, the baby Jesus. It is protected by a glass surrounding it. It is located in the left side of the entrance.

In the middle front of the church is the monument of Jesus Christ. It's background is the church itself.

On the left side is another statue of Mother Mary carrying the baby Jesus Christ. It also has a shed protecting it.

I didn't go to the inside of the church because there's a burial mass going on. I feel like I will be disturbing the intimate mass for the deceased and we don't know the families either so I feel like it's not right for me to go there.

Looking from a distance the church is really big. With a roman architecture of course as it's a Roman Catholic Church. It's hard to take a full view of it since I still need to climb a number of stairs to reach the door of the church itself.

May be next time I come here, I'll have the chance to look what's it like inside. That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!

Thank you so much. I'm also excited myself, haha. I'm curios what's inside and how it may look different or alike to other churches I have visited.

Wow! Church hopping is one of my favorite thing to do. I must add this to my church list. It's very nice, wonderful and peaceful. Good share!
