A Walk Filled with Street Food, Giggles, and Little Lessons

Hello my dear Hivers of the @familyandfriends community. I hope you’re all doing well and safe.

Today I want to share with you a walk I had with my daughter and husband from school which turned out to be more than just our usual trip home from school. It became a little adventure with my daughter, Yashfeen.

So, my husband came to fetch us in the school. He arrived earlier than usual. A few moments from his arrival, we immediately went off.

Our first stop was at our favorite turo-turo stall, where we couldn’t resist the smell of freshly fried fishballs, kwek-kwek, and tempura. The sauce was sweet and spicy, just the way we like it. We laughed, ate, and chatted as if the world had slowed down just for us. Moments like these remind me how joy can be found even in the simplest bites shared by the roadside.

As we continued walking, we passed by a small stall selling colorful toys. Yashfeen’s eyes sparkled with excitement, and of course, she started asking me to buy her one.

After a bit of motherly thinking, I decided to give in, but instead of a toy that would easily break, I got her a cute set of neon green ponytails she could use every day. The sweetest part? She proudly paid for it herself with a big smile on her face.

That short walk with street food, laughter, and a small lesson in contentment made our day truly special. Sometimes, the best walks aren’t about how far we go, but about the little memories we create along the way.

Taking the kids on an outing or any other such point after school is a source of joy for them. When you give them a fish, yashfeen's eyes shine with joy. In fact, kids love going out and they have a desire to visit some new point, which increases their enthusiasm and excitement.

That's definitely true. I always make sure to give time to my family, specially to my kids despite the busy and tiring workdays. It's my way of making them feel they're precious to me.

Yes. As much as possible I give time to my little family. Being a teacher takes so much of my time. At home, sometimes if urgent I do school related works. So, whenever there's a time, I spend it with them. Thanks for leaving a comment and for reading my post!
