That one time

I still remember
that one time
when I've seen you
running through the woods
without a fear,
without a shame!

I could see how strong
you were, even back then.
Stronger than a thousand men,
and yet, I like it,
it was my first time
when I met another
immortal being,
me, as a King,
I was not much,
and such,
I left to see the world,
to pull the cord
that was keeping me
anchored in this uuniverse,
in verse, inverse
to my desire,
I could not save you
when the end came near,
that fear
that I could lose you
forever,
it was never
an option.

Devotion, and
this is how our life
became what it is now,
the ordinary life
experienced for one
more time,
is that a crime?

When you are immortal,
living for ever
is a long long time.

We would be fine!
