Lowick, Kettering - Scarecrow Festival
While wandering around the Old World, I found some places in England interesting. Something innocuous, a Harvest Scarecrow festival, in the village of Lowick.
I tried this worldmappin formula, but I still do not understand how it is working, so I will take the code and copy/paste it in here, hope it will work.
I found this gem of a village, which gave me mixed vibes, a witches' coven retreat (magic potion ingredients growing everywhere), a Harry Potter fan club, an Old World mixing with the technology in a steampunk way of life, and much more. A bit of classic horror too.
We had 36 scarecrows in the village contest, and in a similar way to the Pokemon game, you need to get them all. It was raining sometimes, but this did not stop us.
Ready for fun, with a £5 map (they need money to repair the church).

Some of them are pretty good, especially the Artist looks so real!!! A few were a bit meh though. Who was the winner?
Probably Rapunzel.
What a great idea how to raise funds for the village church! It is true that these scarecrows aren't professionally done, but that's the point... Homemade is more appreciated... ;)
I like the "fairy scarecrow" and "the artist" the most!
Thanks for sharing!

I like it too.
Yes it give a little bit a witch coven style and Halloween style, such a nice place and festival, looks also funny, but Fred Flintstones don't suit much with the atmosphere 🤣🤣
each made its own scarecrow. probably mostly the children.
