Dust in the wind

caroline song.webp

I am chasing the ephemereal moments
of beauty, these days,
I noticed some, when you smiled,
as I bought your favourite pie.

Another moment, as I was listening
to your ramblings, after one twelve hours
shift, shifting my mind for my problems
to yours. I know
We do not need them solved
every little time,
Sometimes we just need
Someone to lend us
a friendly ear
to switch the gear,
a nice long walk in the evening
You know, that thing
that makes us leave all the
job-related stress behind
back on my mind
until tomorrow at
Five thirty AM.
After my slice of bread with jam
and my morning tea,
You see, you and me,
Like the song said once.

All those singular moments
somehow get stuck in my mind,
and I use them late at night,
counting them as little blessings,
instead of sheep.

What a funny
lullaby,
Oh, my!

That really brings out the small moments we usually overlook. Something so ordinary can carry so much meaning when you stop to notice it
