Online Scams - Better ways to guard against them

This is your inlaw speaking. My wife has been hospitalized and she needs to undergo a surgery for appendix. I have deposited 30 thousand and the doctor said I need to deposit 250 thousand. We are in the state general hospital. Please I need your help.

This is a call I got from a scammer who tries to scam me. It is true that my sister is pregnant, but I haven't hear her having appendix. Beside the scammer's voice is quite different from that of my inlaw. Scammer are all around us and we need to guard ourselves from being scammed. I asked myself; how did the scammer know that my sister is pregnant. That led me to the conclusion that someone who knows us want to take advantage of us.

Scammers are all around us and safety measures is greatly needed if we want to walk pass all their tricks. Before talking about internet and online scammers we first need to handle the ones in our neighborhood and make sure we are at safety. Ones greatest enemy is that one in his household.

Many scammers today dwells on the internet. They do all sorts of things to make sure the scam people. Internet scam making counts and leaving people depressed and shattered. I remember being scam at one time. I found this platform which claim to be investing in oil and other things. They promised to double their investors money. I doubted this but seeing that one of our Nigeria celebrity was advertising for them I invested $10. I was waiting for my return as $20 but unfortunately I received a call from the platform that I should invest more money to be able to withdraw.

I know I have lost that money so I didn't border to to invest any more. I have been victim of scam and don't want others to expedite same thing I did. So I'm this post I will be discussing various ways people are being scammed that we are seeing in the world today. We will also discuss how we can guard against them. There are a lot of online shops in the world today. Shopping online has been part of our lives due to how east and less time consuming it is. Scammers know that so they tries to take advantage of it. Recently there have being a lot of online shops. This shops are designed to looked exactly like a real store. Most of this fake store demand for payments before delivery your orders. They even request you make payments with your credit or debit card.

• How to Guard Against It
  Inorder to guard yourself again this type of scam is good to make thorough research about an online store before your can transact with them as failure to do so can result in heavy lost. Such store with your credit or debit card details can withdraw all the fund in your account. So we need to guard against this type of scam.

Fake Online Investment Platforms

Early in this post I talked about being scam $10 by a fake online investment platform. Scammers now create fake Investment website. The promise huge returns to investors inorder to draw them to the platform. You may see some of their investors being paid. Just know they are trying to trap others. Some of this Platforms uses some well know personnel to advertise their projects. Just know this is just to trap you. Scammers can do anything within their reach to get their plans successful.

• How to Guard Against it
  Before investing in any online investment platform is it of paramount important to make diligent research about that platform. Doing so will help you guard against being scammed. Another thing is that you should not because of Mr A get paid and so you want to invest. These fake platforms has different ways of attracting and trapping people.

In conclusion, Scammers are everywhere in today world so it is vary crucial to remain cautious and skeptical when dealing with online platforms. Scammers has out grown coming in person to steal from you. They now do it through fake online platforms and website.
