There is no one single definition of how a person's beauty or the beauty of thing should be interpreted, this is because defining beauty in itself is complex as it is subjective and at the same time multifaceted as it could be based on many criteria. What I mean by this is that , the interpretation of beauty can be judged by a person's perspective, cultural values or societal norms. The way a person dresses might not seem okay to another person, and for some other reasons religious views can be involved, just as the way a proper Muslim lady would dress with her attire covering her entire body would seem strange to a Christian.

While for some , interpretation of beauty goes beyond just the physical which has to do with appearances, style, body shape, fashion sense and all but for some others it based on the physical. No one is perfect, when I want to interpret beauty or someone's personality, the first thing is look beyond physical before I appreciate it. For instance, a work of art could come out as beautiful with the brilliant combination of colors and aesthetics but a true definition of the picture could really resonate the feeling of emotions and uniqueness, which allows you to see the true beauty and nature of such painting.

Like I mentioned, beauty is subjective, no one true interpretation from two different persons. Speaking of cultural context, even in our country Nigeria, we have diverse features that characterizes the beauty of a tribe to another. For instance, in the traditional sense, the beauty of the yoruba women is always unique when they dress gorgeously in the traditional attire of buba and iro, with their hair plaited in unique style, adorned with beads and use of make up to enhance their beauty. These accessories makes them pretty and attractive to their fellow male counterparts. So also is the traditional attire of the Igbos entirely different, as they adorn themselves in their traditional Ankara fabric specially made, where the maidens tie a piece of clothing around their breasts and a small wrapper at their waist, with a lot of beads on the hair, necks and waste. These dressings are beautiful in their unique traditional way but people will still have different perspectives to it.

In relationships that are meant to lead to something tangible, like a lifetime commitment of marriage, looking beyond the physical beauty is necessary to maintain a healthy relationship with your partner. One time I saw a guy and his girlfriend smoking some heavy weed, partying and gallivanting all around, apparently they were in a relationship. I was gisting with someone who knew the and he had made a statement that he cannot make a wife out of his fellow drug addict weed smoker. People who do bad things wants to end up with the good and respectable ones, what an irony.

These days men and women are so smart to not fall for physical appearances, because fair skinned, pretty eyes, long legs, curvy shape, heavy butts, big boobs and all are not guaranteed for a good home and great family. To ensure a good lasting relationship and fulfilling relationship, I would love me a partner who can communicate openly and honestly it goes a long way to ensure that no one is kept in the dark and we are all aware of what is happening around us,it brings about intimacy. We also look out for an achiever, a goal getter, compatibility, one who has respect and treats people equally, a person whose lifestyle matches the other person's own or can be adjustable to some extent, a person who is caring, affectionate and a giver. These goes a long way to determine a long term relationship of happiness or otherwise.

Finally, the mode of dressing in our contemporary society is base on the idea of beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. While, some people see nothing in ladies revealing some sensitive part of their skin and bodies, others are comfortable with it and even term it the gen z mode of dressing.

The term beauty is subjective and the way one person sees what beauty is may be different from another person. Truly, beauty lies in the hand of the beholder and the true beauty isn't in the physical appearance but in our hearts and values.
