SUMMER COINCIDES WITH RAINY SEASON IN NIGERIA

At the moment, we are experiencing summer in Nigeria as it encompasses all the experiences we are used to between February and November period. As I write this blog, the weather this hot afternoon has suddenly changed to a windy and dusty one because the clouds have changed and there is going to be a heavy downpour of rain. Summer period in Nigeria is one that changes its temperature at any given time at some point it can be cool, hot, humid and rainy. Generally speaking the rainy season is one of the characteristics of the summer period in Nigeria especially in Southern areas of the country, this season is much expected because this is when we prosper and have more vegetation grow sporadically.

I always look forward to the rainy season as against the dry season and this is because the rain can be explored to accomplish several activities. Did summer period Is really a season in Nigeria although with can be extremely hot at some point but it gives people the opportunity to enjoy the moment and flex the season. For instance, it allows people to be able to engage in outdoor activities such as picnics, carrying out of festivals, holidays and so on.

Basically, during summer people have the opportunity to do whatever they like as the weather is friendlier than the cold period. It's my favorite time of the year because I love everything is a compass is especially the rainy season. I remember when we were so little we would all go out in the rain to play and have our bath it was such a fun moment that is nostalgic to me at some point. One time we were playing football in the rain at the back of the yard at home when it suddenly began to rain normally we were supposed to rush inside the house to take cover but we still continue to play and we enjoyed it. Recently some of us mates and we were relinguishing the experiences and the memories we created during the summer period when We were younger somehow are these age things have gotten so complicated and busy.

It is also worthy to note that the period of summer is one of the important aspect of the Year where we improve on our agriculture, farmers begin the planting season early at the beginning of the rainy which is a very crucial point in planting sotl that harvesting can be done at the appropriate time. As we are all aware the rainfall is very necessary for food crops to grow properly and the sunlight is also in excessity combined together.

In Nigeria most cultural or traditional activities asset to happen during the summer. For instance, last month big festivals happened in some parts of the country and this is a means to showcase the culture and traditions of people trying to show that the heritages of this traditions can be preserved rather than be in extinction.

In conclusion summer in Nigeria tends to coincide with the beginning of the raining season,hence whenever we want to carry out important activities we let the weather forecast guide us so that we don't fall victims of heavy rain downpour. It is an interesting period where people are free to showcase their fashion senses and do not have to be clothed fully because of cold. The weather during this period is unstable as it can shift from blazing hot to extremely cold the other minute.
