SPORT ACTIVITY BY CATHOLIC YOUTHS

Hi guys, it's sports Saturday and coincidentally it happened to be a plant day for the youth in my church where we came together to have fun and play games together. Apparently we are having what we call the youth pre harvest Thanksgiving activities, the aim of these activities is to motivate and inspire the youths in the church to have a feeling or sense of belonging in the church. So for the past week we've had occasions like cultural Thanksgiving, Jersey Sunday, bonfire night, praise and worship, leadership talks and so on. All these are set to happen before the main day for the youth harvest/bazaar Thanksgiving.

I had made up my mind to participate fully in these activities as it would help me to mingle more with my fellow youths. Again activities like this helps to foster unity and oneness amongst the organization. Today we had the sporting activities that came in various forms like football games, dancing competitions, spelling game, and some other games we were used to when we were kids. The turn up was quite massiveand was inspiring and we achieved a lot. However, there was still some downsides but we were able to navigate through.

The football game was carried out by the guys in the church, and we had to compete with another church team. We had our yellow jerseys ready to represent our church and honestly our guys represented us well in the game, although they still won us, as the game ended with our opponents winning by 3 goals and we only scored 2. But then again, street football is still so lit as there were a lot of great players who were so skillegirl handling the ball and made the game interesting. Somehow I wonder how our Nigerian gem is lacking good players when there are versatile youths available and ready to play.

The girl that were not able to play football engaged in other activities that were quite interesting for instance, we had the board game of ludo. There were two players who were so focused in the game to ensure that they do not lose or get cheated.

Also, there was this game where we all formed a circle, some people will be singing and the last person who the bottle touches has to catch the person before he or she returns back to her line or she loses.
