It's no longer news that there are billions of websites created in the world to serve various purposes. Some are used to achieve real goals and upgrade their status quo, others were created for the fun of it and some are just totally useless sites both home and abroad. Well, one thing I have come to realize is that, most Useless websites created are been used as a source of amusement and entertainment. All they do is direct you to the page and they offer a brief distraction or a moment of humor in an otherwise mundane day. But from a personal point of view, isn't it stressful to create website just to put out unnecessary and funny stuffs, why not just use the social media to put out such short contents.

I have ones open a website that became useless afterwards, although I actually tried starting a blog with it but I kind of left it dormant, so I noticed that often times people create websites for the purpose of artistic expression or just a means of experimentation. This way they have the opportunity to showcase their creativity in an environment that would not over task them. Again, creation or building of websites could just be for learning purposes to increase knowledge in the craft or it may be intended to poke fun at trends, stereotypes, or societal norms in a lighthearted way.

There are several websites that I am aware of that do funny stuffs on their pages and some include:

  • find the invisible cow: I stumbled on this website when I was scrolling through my chrome browser one day, I never knew this sort of thing would come up as a prompt on day on hive. I wonder why someone would build a website for that actually because all it requires you to do is to enter the website with an upgraded browser, then turn up your volume you you can hear the sound , because that how you would find the supposed missing cow. Useless right?

  • hacker typing: another one I found was called the hacker typing, apparently, this was created for novices like me who wants to have a feeling of how hacking works. The idea of the website is to experience the dark screen with green words on the screen. While exploring the site, it didn't even show my keypads using my smartphone, I just had to type on an empty screen. Just like the picture below

  • rolling toilet paper: Obviously, this has to be the most useless website I have encountered so far. We are all aware of the myth with toilet paper especially during covid 19 where toilet paper became a treasure somehow. so for those who could not use as they want , should visit the website and just roll it aware.

  • scream; this one is so weird and totally unnecessary at the same time. It's just a plain website that requests for whatever you are feeling at the moment, type it in and then click scream. They you hear a male gender scream in different sounds depending on the type of feeling it is.
