PRIORITIZING HEALTH; MENTAL AND PHYSICAL
My free advice to everyone in these trying times especially in my country Nigeria would be to prioritize their health no matter what, both mental and physical. This is really not the best time to fall sick and be dependent on drugs because the prices of drugs have gone overboard in the last couple of months. So it is necessary to do things that improves the health and avoid what could damage us. This is in reaction to the #hiveghana weekly engagement prompts which affords us to give free advice that is beneficial to life.
What advice would you give to someone out there who’s trying to do this life thing right.

I see myself as an advocate of living healthy and maintain a balance between have a great physical health and the same time mental health. This is one very important aspects as human beings that helps us in navigating life. Without good health of mind body and soul, we will find it difficult to live life to the fullest because it will limit us and make it difficult to achieve certain goals. Hence, Prioritizing both our physical and mental health is very crucial for overall well-being which has to do with regular exercising, eating healthy by incorporating vegetables and fruits that offer natural vitamins to our body systems, have fun and relax once a while to beat off stress and boredom.
Exercising regularly has been proven to improve the body vitals and give you an all round fitness of the body and the mind. There are different kinds of exercises that can be physical and the same mental. The physical exercise keeps the body alive and the mental exercise keep the mind alive. Physical exercises to maintain good health require consistency and not slacking overtime because the idea is to see results of your effort, so you have to consider the days of the week to carry them out if you cannot do it every day, like 3 to 4 times a week is ideal. These 0hysical exercises could include taking a walk on nature's path, jogging or running in the open or on a thread mill, playing sports like basket ball, lawn tennis, football, handball and so on. Research has stated and approved that exercise frequently does not only improves physical fitness but also boosts mood and reduces stress.
Mental exercises are also important in our daily lives to live healthy, this involves engaging in exercise that stimulate the brain and challenge our cognitive abilities. Most times as human we unconsciously carry out exercises mentally without our knowledge because it requires a lot to challenge our cognitive abilities. It could be by learning something new or tasking the brain in a challenge for instance games like scrabble, monopoly, sudoku, solving puzzles, brainteasers and so on can trigger the brain. Also learning is another means to mentally exercise, be it a new language, new song, musical instrument , reading variety of book from genres ranging from romance, horror, sci-fi and so on, have a way of building up imaginations in our minds.
Often we hear of how people go for shopping as a means to relax their brains and be stable , even if it just by admiring new collection the store, no doubt this is a mental activity that helps some individuals to keep sane. Other times it could be music, dancing, singing and all sorts. I have learnt that you should know what works best for you, as it helps you relax better and be healthy. Been healthy is dependent on what your body can take , what goes for A might not work for B and vice versa.
In all, keep a mental and physical health is essential for our daily lives on earth.

Health should undoubtedly be the priority for all of us, in many cases we have health, above all mental health, and we focus on work, but all of this has consequences for the future.
You know that in this life so many of us keep chasing after money and we don't have the time to check on our health. This is a good one.

For physical health it’s quite easy but for mental health , it’s about high time we paid attention to that.
