POSTPAID OVER PREPAID METER

Power supply in my country is sufficient enough based on an individuals locality. Electricity has become so expensive that people have to pay so much to be able to afford power supply in their homes. Without electricity a lot of things tend to suffer because apparently most activities in the home and at the workplace, depend solely on electricity. For instance, in the home, we use electricity to carry appliances like the refrigerator, the TV, the washing machine, the electric cooker, standing fans, ac's and so on, these are Necessities in the home that helps human beings to function properly. We can imagine without electricity it will be difficult to store food stuffs especially as working class citizens. People depend on constant electricity supply because the price of fuel to power up generators is quite on the high side.

Electricity supply in my locality is not constant, sometimes there are days where we would not have light for like 3 days, hence we suffer a loss both at home and at work. There are places where they have electricity 24/7 but they pay heavily for electricity tariffs these areas are supplied with electricity everyday because they belong to a class of electricity suppliers called the band A. Most people that basically enjoy this power supply in the country are the wealthy ones who live in Estate, or GRA areas, that are heavily guarded and occupied by the rich and well to do people of the country.

There are different sources of electricity in the 21st century we have the prepaid meter supply, solar panels, inverter, batteries or getting electricity directly (postpaid plan) . The thing about prepaid meter is that it has its advantages and disadvantages, one of its advantages is the fact that you do not get disturbed by electricity officials because you subscribe directly when you can afford a tariff. The disadvantages with prepaid meter is based on the fact that you have to constantly recharged the meter which can be inconvenient, especially when you run out of light or power at odd hours. These frequent recharges can be frustrating and and susceptible to increase frequently. Hence, prepared tariffs are more expensive and higher than post paid plans.

Also, my experience with the postpaid tariff electricity supply is one that offers convenience and allows you to pay the bill at the end of the month. This tariff does not bring about an abrupt end in the supply of electricity to your home but rather at the end of the billing cycle, you should have made a budget that includes the payment of electricity when the officials come around which is usually at the end of the month.

So, I believe that the postpaid tariff plan for electricity supply is more affordable and convenient to use than the prepaid plan which can be inconvenient sometimes. One time, I remember trying to subscribe for a tariff plan on the prepaid meter but we had network issues and could not use light for that day. It was so inconvenient that most of the food items got spoiled in the refrigerator.
