POEM : LOVE ETERNAL

One of the best ways to show love if you are someone that explore words of affirmation in a relationship is through love poems or love notes, one that captivates the heart of lover and leaves them feeling amazed and proud of themselves and their decisions. As a lover, poems or notes should be a personal thing that comes straight from the heart because the author is very aware of his lover and what would cath their attentions. This is why there are many love poems circulating the blogs, websites, social media and so on. Although poems feel outdated but with the right words used, it could reveals deep emotions.

I have seen a situation where a simple love note sent to someone's lover Drew so much emotions that the lady cried because they were so real and relatable. As we are all aware, February is the love month and the major purpose of love poems is meant to express our heartfelt emotions and capture the depth, beauty, and complexity of love in words. Love poems have many characteristics such as : celebrating love, expressing feelings, hearty connections, confort, healing, support, strengthening bonds, inspiration and so on.

For the purpose of this prompt, I composed one which was quite a difficult thing to do but it seems nice and real. Check out my poem below:

LOVE ETERNAL
My heart beats at the sound of your name
You mesmerize my thinking with your eloquent and succulent voice
I dream of our future because we are blessed to have you in it

Your smile Gives me respite
Your voice is soothing
Your eyes glitters with love and peace
Your body radiates warmth

You are a treasure to behold
A blessing that graces the earth
A melody that is pure and gentle
An eternal flame I would cherish
Now and forever

Did I try? It's been a long time since I tried the creative path of writing poems because it requires a lot in place. The use of words, the ability to evoke feelings and be able to have a deep connection with the reader. Poems are meant to paint a picture in the mind of the readers hence the use of devices like imagery. A poem should be original, originality goes a long way to impact the uniqueness of the poem, a vague poems is usually baseless.

Back in the days, the use of love poems were in vogue to getting a girlfriend. All you need was a well written note and single red rose flower. The guys would write their hearts out in fine writing so as to appease the girls heart and emotions, and girls fall for such romantic gestures.
