The idea of meeting people online in our contemporary world can be scary and frustrating at the same time. Most people have come out with testimony of how they met their partners online and they successfully kept a healthy and trustworthy relationship that led to marriage. While some people have found love on this social media spaces such as Facebook, Instagram, tiktok, Twitter and so on, others have been victims of circumstances just because they wanted to give love a chance.

I was reading a blog recently where a couple was appreciating a page on Instagram for bringing them together in the comment section because the main objective of that page is to Match people who are single. It is noteworthy that not everybody or let me say 90% of the people online are not trustworthy because some people are just there to have fun and catch Cruise. So while some are lucky others are not.

There was a story where a girl met a guy online via Facebook and they started communicating, one thing led on to another so they started dating online because the communication was effective. The girl had no reason to doubt the guy because they were always chatting and making video calls. So one day, the guy told the girl to come over to his place which was another state entirely hence, she had to travel for at least 8 hours before she can get to his destination.

She felt that nothing can happen since they were both in love and she trusts the guy but on getting there she realized that what she has been getting online is the opposite of his physical character. My point from this story is that mainly chatting online cannot reveal a person's Intent, this is why single couples are advised to meet physically and spend time together so as to be able to access a person's character before you settle down with them.

Online dating can happen with with a stranger or someone you know before but distance is causing a barrier for meeting. It is not a big deal but in my country online dating and meeting is not safe as most people have been victim of Assassin's, hired Killers, ritualist, rapist and so on all because they fell in love online.

In other words, what is good fro Mr A may not be durable for Mr B. Out world is gradually becoming a digital world that everything can be done online without having to stress or panic around but some dubious people take advantage of this to get their victims and perpetrated their evil on them.
