MY PREFERENCE FOR BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE EDUCATION

I was going to limit myself to choose the IN-PERSON kind of education, but look back on experience and the knowledge and certificates and trainings I have gotten via digital platforms to enhance my educational background cannot be underestimated. Just as the in person education has it numerous benefits so also does the online platform has it many positive influence. I am both a product of in person education which has helped to physically shape my life career and acquainted me with various people that form a part of my existence, also as a product of digital education, I have been able to break barriers that tried to hold me down from getting a good education, one that I could never have afforded when you consider time, energy, distance and fees for physical training.

IN-PERSON EDUCATION
As an introvert, I am glad I had experienced the in-person kind of education right from my nursery times to my masters degree times, I wonder how life would have been if I hadn't been privileged to meet with the people I did from other spheres of life and interacted with them. Some of these people's have formed an integral part of my life that sometimes when I look back I am grateful for meeting them in that four wall of the classroom.

In simple explanation, an in-person education is one that is done physically in the four walls of a classroom, it's the traditional kind of school we are all exposed to when it comes to learning. One where interaction is made between the teacher and the pupils or students, that allows you to engage in other activities that can influence brain activeness and so on. There are many advantages to this type of learning and trust me we enjoyed it.

In-person education,there is an increased rate in engagement activities, as it allows students to interact academics with their teachers,peers and even their senior colleagues. Back then, we would engage in group studying and reading of our books and handouts, at the end we have a question and answer session that accommodates everyone who has difficulty in assimilating some subjects and this was really helpful. Also, when we had issues with a subject or a course, we had the opportunity of meeting with the teacher or the lecturer to explain better or give us materials to help with our researches. We also had the opportunity were senior colleagues would organize tutorial classes that gave a second explanation of what the lecturer taught us in class. All these had brought about personal interactions that fostered growth in learning and social development as well.

Another advantage of in-person education was the availability of physical materials and resources that helped with learning, this includes libraries, laboratories, equipment, tools and materials. For instance, back in school, we had a phonetic lab that helped to train us in speaking good English pronunciation. So also, science student could make use of physical laboratories that helped in their scientific researches, there are studios for art students, for food management students and so on. All these laboratories allows the student 5o be versatile in both the theory aspect of their course and the practical aspect as well.

Keeping good relationship with your colleagues is one feature of the in-person education system, some people can boast of everlasting friendship because they met at school, some people even find love in school and end up getting married. It creates a social environment where a students develops a sense of belonging which motivates them positively or negatively, we meet with people from different cultural background and ethnic groups.

ONLINE EDUCATION

Asides the in-person education system, there is the online education platform that allows you explore digital technology to gain more knowledge from any part of the world at any spot. Ever since the evolving of technology,the introduction of smartphones and laptops have contributed greatly to learning process. Students can access material resources online at the comfort of their space, they can engage in zoom classes, use WhatsApp or telegram and so on.

There are a lot of advantages to online education platform, and one of it is the ability to take course from schools in country far away. For instance, in Nigeria there are many platforms like UNICEF that offers course with flexible fees for schools abroad and you end up getting your certificate at the end of the session. Many people now take professional exams from the comfort of their homes and use it to raise the bar in their professional careers with no limitations whatsoever but just a good internet connection.

In our contemporary times, there are digital course available that a physical school cannot handle, for instance, there are professional course like content creation, graphics design, developers and so on. Online education brings about convenience as you do not require travelling from one place to another, spending money on transportation, renting an apartment and all.

In conclusion, it is not wise to to create a barrier between both system of learning as they are both beneficial in their own unique ways. I have experienced both ways and they have both helped me grow in certain areas of life. Hence, I make use of both my in-person certificate and my online certificates.
