MY HIVE LESSONS ON QUALITY ARTICLES AND CONSISTENCY

The hive Blockchain is a web3 ecosystem encompassed with features that surpasses that of a social media. The major idea of the platform is to create a social media space that is based on blogging activities, where content creators can utilize the space to creat valuable contents across the chain and in turn earn rewards. This is achievable by curating quality articles based upon the value of the creators votes. Thus, the hive Blockchain affords users the ability to earn in two different coins in crypto which are hive tokens and hive backed dollars( a stablecoin pegged at $1).

Recently, I celebrated my two year old on the hive Blockchain, as I joined back in 2021. It has not been an easy path so far, because to be successful in this space one needs to learn and unlearn certain things at intervals. One unique thing about the hive ecosystem is the constant growth and development that occurs in the chain. No one can know it all because what was available today might not be tomorrow or might be different with changes made. This is why we are often reminded to be consistent and engage more on the platform so we can be aware of what is going on.

One thing I found difficult when I first joined hive was the problem of consistency. At the beginning I was not stable, and writing seemed difficult to keep up with. I hadn't done a proper research to know that there were various communities on the chain that served various purposes. I got it all wrong by posting my articles in the wrong communities. This did not go well as I had comments warning me to post related articles in related communities. This was my first hurdle but with adequate research and articles that guides newbies on what to do on hive, I found out the right way to sort this issues and I corrected them.

This also included the use of tags. I remember a time I made a post and I used no tags basically because I had no idea what to do. Not until I learnt that , for my post to gain more visibility throughout the chain, my first five tags has to be something related to my articles. Like I said learning happens everyday, despite my two year on hive, just last week I was corrected by the #inleo team on how to use proper hashtags in creating my threadstorms on leothreads. I found that the first thread had to carry the related tags to my articles and the last thread should only have the gosh hashtag with the link.

Another aspect of hive that I did not understand at first was the strategy of making quality and longer posts. I believe this also affected my early growth because after my first introduction article on hive where I had lot of upvotes, the next five to six months was a disaster as I made almost nothing from my long form posts. This actually discouraged me a bit but then I stumbled upon an article that discussed the need to write long and quality post of at least 400 words or more.

This wasn't easy at first, but subsequently I learnt how to incorporate my life experiences into what I write, to make them look original. Another aspect that helped me would be the introduction of the inleo features of what a quality post should be like. The need to write above a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 700 words. This strategy of life experiences, personal finances, lifestyle and all helped build up my writing skill and now I can boast of writing more than 450 words in most of my articles.

In conclusion, no matter the time you have spend on hive, its just like educational institutions where, as you progress in each grades you get to meet a higher and more complex topic than in your previous grade. Thus I owe my growth the the hive communities, inleo and initiatives that release prompts that gear our minds to openness.

In whatever you do as a hiver, try to do your research properly before embarking on a journey.

All long posts are welcome. If a person does a 1500 or more word posts the algo would love it.
Aim for a longer post and grow on the blockchain

When we are consistent on the blockchain, we will learn lots of things unlike when we do not give it time at all, it feels so overwhelming when we are trying to learn everything in one day. This is why showing up daily keeps you updated on the happenings on the blockchain.
