As women, we are all aware that the month of March is special for us as it's celebrates women internationally, it's a special month when women are celebrated all that they are as mothers, sisters, aunties, career women, fighters, survivors and all. I am glad that this week's edition of the #ladiesofhive community contest is focused on the achievements and contributions all over the world.
March is Women's Month and we would like you to reflect beyond the stereotypes about what you like about being a woman — from the depths of your being, focus on those characteristics or personal reasons.
Beyond the negative stereotypes that we encounter as women , there is a lot I love about being a woman, a deep reflection on our everyday experiences and the experiences of those around us and even the ones we get to see on social media, it goes beyond to acknowledge the efforts of women in break gender inequalities that has over the year set a barrier towards a woman's accomplishments. Advocating for gender equality has gone a long way to uplift women and share equal opportunities that challenges societal norms and bias.
One of the great ways women have broken the inequality vice is through their educational background. I remember back in the olden day when women were relegated to the background, they saw women as only for for household chores, the bedroom and for reproduction. Women were not allowed education but only a few because it was believed that women handle no business in building a career. The problem is that till now there are still societal degradation of women relegating them, even when they go to school, they say, after school you should get married and focus on your family and children and practise submission to your household.
However, Women through education and higher learning have fought for themselves to break seclusion and have over the years gained access to education, which has in turn empowered them with the adequate knowledge and skills necessary to pursue their aspirations and contribute to society. These days we can boast of women professors, doctors of books and medicine, when I was at the University a woman was the head of department and a woman was also the dean of student affairs, that's a great achievement. Also women have spear headed top level positions like vice chancellors, managerial position, CEOs, principals, politicians, ministers, senators and so on.
Women have also excelled in traditionally male-dominated fields, these days we see women engineers who are passionate about their jobs and carries it out to the fullest, in science departments, technology, mathematics women are thriving. Unlike before we used to have tech bros but now we have tech girls, women who codes and designs web, even on the hive Blockchain there are women who are developers and see to the affairs of what happens at the back end.
Finally, what I like about been a women is the ability to multitask and carry out our duties to the best of our abilities, we do not let barriers break us , rather we strive to be a mother who takes care of her home and a career woman who is good at her job.
Thanks for stopping by my blog...

The points you have mentioned are very valid and clear.we all can clearly see the difference between a women's life in old time verses now and we are so proud that we did that ourselves and proved our identity. 💖💖
