LANDLORD BRUTALITY AND HARASSMENT

I experienced something this evening and I decided to write a short blog about it, people can be really at times especially when things are not going in their favor. You would sit down and wonder why a person that jmhas no knowledge of you or any connection with you will just develop hatred for a fellow human being without any just cause.

Before we packed from our formal applartment based on pressure from the supposed landlady who is abroad but sent her minions to come supervise the renovation were all rude and uncouth set of people. At first, we paid our rent which was supposed to expire in November, the date has not matured but they started pressurizing us that they want to complete renovations by October hence, they give us two weeks to pack out.

It got so bad that this person would start telling people that we refused to leave and are delaying their work, when it's not like we owe them anything. This was really a life lesson for me because I never imagined my family and I would have such an encounter with any landlord because we try out best to make sure we pay up our rent at the stipulated time.

The harassment was so back that the irresponsible landlady used harsh terms to describe people because she inherited the house from her late father. I do not blame them though because they are oblivious of when we moved in and civilisation had not yet come to the area, but now that the place is open they have forgotten how we maintained the house and the environment.

People that we even relate with are the core backbitters and gossipers that makes the whole issue worse because they are trying to find favour with an Americana.

We thank God for life as we had to move out because my dad is so calm and does not want trouble with anyone. At the new place compared to the old apartment we are experiencing peace and quietness like never before. It has been a rough year though but we bless God for everything.
