ITS RISKY JUDGING PEOPLE BY THEIR ACTIONS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
social media has helps in various ways to educate and inform the public and also monetize activities carried out, people's profiles can as well offer insights into a their interests and values but it is essential to note that they may not fully represent someone's character or lifestyle. Hence , the prompt by the #hiveghana community is quite relatable.
Believe whatever you see on social media at your own risk. It has never been healthy and it will never be to follow trends on social media especially when you can not afford the lifestyle. Most people are just on social media to make money from ignorant viewers who tend to take the lives of their celebrities even more than they do. Although there are ways you can follow up with people's live at least 30% on social media but Judging a person solely by their actions and activities on social media can be misleading, as it often presents a curated version of their lives. It might lead to conclusions that are not real, for instance because you saw a picture of me in a bar with many bottles of empty drinks then you conclude that I am a drunkard, that's not right.
With some of my friends post on Whatsapp or Facebook, you can easily tell that they want this particular lifestyle embedded in their life. Just recently on social media, a cross dresser came online to solicit for help from fellow Nigerians claiming he had kidney issues and needed a large sum of money to carry out surgery. I never believed it when I saw the video because the video felt scripted and all. But fast forward to some day back, we got to see this same fellow flaunting a huge bum bum on Instagram, apparently, when he was soliciting for help, it was not the case of kidney problem but he was actually doing liposuction surgery. This was so so insane as people pitied him then and sent what they could to help with the surgical expenses, but it was all a lie. Thank God I didn't fall for that.
So there are many situations of life on social media is different from what most people portray on the outside. Even what some call reality shows are not the reality because most parts are edited out. I have in one way or the other judged some particular people on the media by the kind of actions they portray. These days we see young girls or guys recording what should have been a private moment and exposing it to the entire world, you see these videos mostly unintentionally and you wonder if these do not have parents or guardians. They choose to live with the trend of been called the new generation "GEN Z". There are some newly wedded couple that make several 0ost on social media platforms like Whatsapp of how a man should take care of his woman and vice versa and then you realize that they don't even get a quota of such romantic treatment from their spouses at home... It's just fantasy.
Finally, social media is full of life's and deceit at most 90% of them portray what they are not in reality, they carry out surgeries for flat tommy and big asses and come online to advertise products and conduct fitness trainings. They use Snapchat filters and claim it's their natural faces.

We all have different views about social media, sometimes it's okay to get judged by what w e post.
Yeah.. you are right
Social media is a very chaotic place where the more you look, the less you see. Fake life is all over it and it's hard to take anybody seriously there. Just like the crossdresser story you talked about, there are several other similar stories like that online and sometimes that makes it hard to know who truly needs help
yeah, ever since I realized I have been careful... Thank you
