Time capsules has always been a thing that occurs in every generation, where people get to keep documents and stuffs pertaining to that particular era so that the next generation can know the happening during the time. This is a common characteristic of every human being, we feel attached to a particular thing that has evolved overtime and discarding it becomes the hardest part of our lives, hence we keep it on and preserve its essence. History has been passed down in different even as low as newspapers, recently we traveled home and visited my grandfather's house and we saw a lot of things that explained and gave insights to the life and times of the 80's, ranging from newspapers, artefacts, black and white television, first edition of books, love letters which were common back then, old currency notes and coins used then, jewelries and so on.

One that caught my attention and was neatly kept in a box was the love letters my dad used to send my mum when they were still courting. Apparently back then the letters were filled with content that characterized decency love commitment and the show of care, this goes to prove that in the 90s when the mobile phones were not available lovers would send each other letters from their different locations to act as a love language and show commitment using the words. of affirmation.

Also in my grandfather's traveling box we found where he stored calories that were used in the olden days before it was replaced with paper currency notes. In Nigeria back then, through history were meant were made to realize that people use calories as money is before the innovation of paper currency. I guess I am following this trend as well because ever since I was born, the currency has changed over time I think three or four times now and luckily for me I have some notes that has been changed and some coins as well. I remember back then, when we used to buy sugar and sweet with coins that were heavy and worthy, unlike now that the coins and some naira notes like 5,10,20 naira have become worthless and cannot buy anything in the market.

An old diary of my mum

I would also like to believe that paining down great moment in your diaries can serve as a means of reference to you and important event in that person's life to the Future. For instance later in the future are intend to have a diary that we explain the Life and times of my marriage life and the situations or occurrences surrounding the birth of my children. Later in the future, they could get to read and see what happened when bringing them into the world. This was born out of the fact that I saw my dad's diary where he jotted down the experiences my mom had while giving birth to us the date the time the moment and everything it entails, it was such an amazing moment and I would love to repeat it.

I love pictures a lot and this would also serve as a means of future references to people around me and my family, the kind of pictures I take are pictures that reflect moments that are worthy of remembrance and will bring a nostalgic effect in the future.
