FAMILY ACTIVITIES AND GATHERINGS ARE FUN
Family offers important values to the lives of an individual, when we have a great family bonding we experiences virtues like support, love, care, guidance and everything in between. In some of our daily life encounters or challenges the first thing we remember is family. They are always there to lead and guide you, be there for you whenever life is tough or hard. One thing that is certain is the fact that, family can come in different forms, it could be a friend turn family, a distant relation taking up roles that even a family member related by blood cannot offer.
There are different activities that strengthens a family bond and one of such that I have come to love, is the occasion of having parties that brings everyone together no matter their destination. In cases of burials, remembrance, wedding, engagement, birthdays and so on. Catching up with family member can be so fun and you reminisce about old times, gisting, it also affords you the opportunity to take pictures, pray together and even play games.
Recently, my uncle who is one out of 7 children got married and we all converted at Delta state to celebrate him by attending the court wedding, traditional wedding and the church marriage. Family members came from different states ranging from Edo state, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Sapele and so on. It was a long journey but when family is involved we tend to break barriers and support our own, because if we don't no one will do it for us. I was glad because I had the opportunity to see my cousins whom I had seen last 2 years, and got to find out that they had all grown taller than I am.
Also, I love it when my favor rite aunt come around and prepares a local soup in my tradition, the soup is called "Ila alasepo" in yoruba and it requires time and effort to do it properly. We all had fun as a family at the wedding, hence, occasional activities is one of my family fun activity I like.
