APPRECIATE THE LITTLE THINGS

Sometimes when I help people I just zero my mind and not expect anything in return, because some people can be so entitled and be so ungrateful that even common thank you is difficult for them to say. I am huge I reciprocating kindness to who is deemed fit, this is why I am of the belief that not every human being is worthy of kindness or doing things for. In my experience in life, I have come a cross different types of people, while some are so appreciative to a fault, some can reciprocate your kindness by giving gifts and doing favors in return, others who care less or are ungrateful would give an "I don't care attitude", some can even go as far as expecting you to do more because they think you have not done enough.

A situation that happened back in school when I was paired with a married woman who had child and is always not around the school environment because she lived far, burdened me with the load of doing her assignment which was a seminar paper. It was like doing 2 tedious things at the same time because I don't know how to type fast and I had to make sure i submitted the work the next day. I struggled and was up till late night before I could complete it. The next morning came, I rush up to the cyber Cafe to print them out and bind it before submitting. It was a stressful day.

In the end, this woman was supposed to pay me for the printing and binding job but till now I received nothing, not even a thank you. I actually didn't care about her not thanking me but the fact I asked for my money consistently till I got tired and she kept posting me. To be honest, as a student back then I was broke and was Almost my last cash with me.

That was how one time I went to work for a woman by cleaning her apartment just for charity sake. Do you this woman was directing me on where and how to clean up. I plainly told I could only do my best as I was not a maid. I am big of being grateful and appreciating, no matter how small whatever it is you did for me I would definitely return the favor. Kindness is a virtue that not everyone possesses, but at least we should be grateful to people both young and old.
