Pages From My Sketchbook - Biting Brain
Greetings
Another one of those "quick sketches".
I really like the new direction my art seems to be taking. It feels a little darker than the older stuff. In a way...it is a continuation of the older love themed drawings, which soon I might compile into a collection that tells a story. Should be fun.
The entire drawing was done in ink (pen). I used a black Bic and red Pentel VICUNA BX157. Slowly, I am attempting to improve my shading.
Process videos are always fun to watch. Hopefully it'll make up for my lack of words today.

It really is seriously dark. It's awesome ! I like the contrast between all the little eyes on his shoulder, and the way the eyes in his head are blind. Although the really twisted part of me expected to see a zipper at the end of the head-split 😁
😅 Well I was going for a zipper effect along the split.... so that makes a lot of sense, going to have to fix that because now I can't unsee there being no zipper.
