The Crochet Obsession - Part 3 - Better Cats, Realistic Cats, Doll & Dress, Weird Glove

Greetings Hive Friends!

Well here we are, Part 3 already, I would say time flies but honestly my impatience knows no limits right now, but that's a whole other bag of beans and completely unrelated, sort of. Anyways, these are some of my most recent and favourite crochet projects.

Most of these were a little bit more challenging than the first few, I enjoyed creating them very much.

We call her The Red Pig, she's named after the real cat she is based on. Well except for the red part.

This one was probably the most challenging out of all the cats I have made, attaching the legs gave me endless trouble but after three attempts I finally managed. Very proud of her and will definitely attempt more of these.

This one was relatively easy, I still need to finish her face, once I can decide exactly what kind of face she needs. This was a very fun and easy project, a little brain break after making the more complicated cats. The little hat is also detachable and just sits over the ear, which makes it all a bit cooler.

I absolutely love the look of this one. Somehow I cannot seem to find the pattern I used for it anywhere. Once I do, I will add it to the comments or update here. It is just very cute and except for having many parts to sew is pretty easy.

This one took a long time to make and is almost life sized, I am rather proud of myself for managing to finish it, even though it isn't perfect. My favourite part is the toes, they are adorable. As much as I want to say never again due to the time and effort involved....well I'm probably attempting this one again soon!

My next attempt at upgrading my doll crochet skills. I feel I did a better job on the hair cut could do with adding more of it next time. I followed the pattern for the doll but did my own face. The dress is my own creation, if there is any interest, I will consider doing a series of doll crochet clothes and patterns for her (or other dolls)

Now to figure out how to adjust this and create a male version with the right size and shape for J&S 2.0...

I have no explanation or excuse for this one...it seemed like a fun idea, pointless but fun. This is entirely my own creation. I wrote down the pattern and will do a full tutorial if anyone is interested in recreating this madness.

Now, none of these creations would have been possible without the help of little Floki, who assists me with basic tasks like, chewing the yarn, grabbing my crochet hook, chasing the yarn, sitting on projects, attacking my creations when trying to take photos of them and more. Very helpful, it keeps me endlessly entertained.

I am already creating a few more things. If anyone has a pattern or idea for me to attempt, let me know.

Well that's it for now. Till next time!
