Garden Journal - Lavender - First Harvest Of The Season

Greetings Friends

September is still a little ways off, yet here, it is already early summer.

There was not yet much to harvest on the plant but, due to the entire activity having been more about proving to a four year old that 'playing with plants' is in fact not boring, I decided to go ahead and get it done.

The plant, which needs more than a bit of work right now.

Of course, the right equipment is always needed. Taking photos of the bright colours was the best part.

Just a tiny bunch, but enough for the vanilla bath sachet I am planning to make. (Which, by request, also has to change the colour of the bath water to purple.)
