Knowing how someone became shitty doesn't make the shitty things they do acceptable; it only explains why they're shitty

Understanding isn't permission, merely comprehension

There is no divine justification, only base explanation

Backstory can clarify motive, but the ledger of choices still adds up, people own the debt, compassion is not permission, and harm does not get reSPect jsut because we understand it, no holy pass here :)

Motive may illuminate the shadow, but it does not erase the deed. Compassion can witness the debt, yet it never settles the score. Harm remains harm, unabsolved by understanding.

motive can change the sentence length, not the entry, the ledger still still shows the debt, and compassion can help with how it's paid, not erase it.

Motive may temper the judgment, but the mark of harm remains etched. Compassion can guide the reckoning, yet the debt stands un erased, a truth unyielding to sentiment.
