Bit better KFW. Heck yeah!

The weekend ahead was supposed to be a kids- free weekend (KFW) for my girl and I, meaning my 2 boys were staying with her mother and her little girl with her grandparents. Not that we looked forward to this cause we love and enjoy our children but some rest from time to time is welcome if possible.

Anyway, there was not any plan for us, since we had been quite some days without stable electricity supply and as it had been the previous KF weekends we have had. So we didn't have anything in mind but a full home work weekend in the hunt of electricity hours to get the tasks done as usual and some other personal activities I won't detail.

Friday KF- day 1

We did have an idea for Friday afternoon though, thought to make a stop after work in a spot we had found weeks ago for some sort of cheap beers and a couple of snacks, listening to some music, having a nice chat and spend some quality time together before getting home to the usuals.

I finished first at work and as I waited for my girl I went down through main street dropping an eye on any spot that might suit us to hook the anchors in case the other one wasn't opened. No spot found though and the one we had picked was closed cause there was not...guess what?... electricity of course. It seemed we were destined to the same kind of KFW we have always had before. So I texted my girl with the updates and the place I'd be waiting for her to go home.

A few minutes later I got a call from her telling me that when passing in front of " La Esquinita"(The Little Corner) as the cover image of the post shows,also called ConKashé, the place where we met 2 years ago in April( She was there to work as an artist that night in a very good show she and the group she belongs to had, and I worked there but that night went just to watch the show) she saw there were some singers partners of her in a show that we could drop anchor in and grap a couple of beers and snacks, not cheap though, but that was the last ship and we were looking forward to sailing.

Heck yeah!! ...on my way baby.

Well, for not making Friday afternoon-night story too long, we had a very nice time there, had more than a couple of beers, some cheese tostones, roast pork leg and fried potatoes with sausages and cheese.
Sorry, no food images made, no time for that in our minds or stomachs.

That event changed the start of the KFW and also an invitation for her(my girl) to join her partners on Stage for a couple of songs that day. She singing caught the attention of both, the manager of the place and the artistic Director of the show. So we were invited again on Saturday.

Well after we got out of the place and as we went looking for a transport to get back home we made a stop at Milanés Theather as it was about to start a presentation of a folk dance group and we decided to go in. It was a very nice presentation,

I've never seen anything like this live,at least with that visual quality, professionalism, staging, energy and synchronization. It was very nice to watch and enjoy.

Saturday KF-day 2

Saturday morning we woke up not too early cause we went bed late and with some drinks in our heads.
Coffe, breakfast, good chat and relaxing happened after we got up, electricity was still there as well, strange things for these days. Anyway, we needed to get lunch ready cause after that, there wouldn't be much time left to prepare ourselves to attend the invitation in time.

It was set and happened later that afternoon, the idea was to get my girl to sing a couple of songs again as a part of a show where other artists would be performing as well.

Besides, some business chat was planned as well, about her skills to perform both, singing and acting and a potential future space in that place for a show one day of the week. This all took place again around some beers and drinks, before, during and after the show, which was also enjoyable and fun.
This time we didn't get back home late as my girl had to perform the next morning for children in a Theater.

Sunday KF-day 3.

Electricity had been present almost all the weekend, at least most of the time. My wife went to work, but it wouldn't take too long, so I stayed at home cooking for lunch and dinner. Kitchen can relax me sometimes, when I can take my time and have electricity, as it was this time, we had got some black beans and wanted to have Congris Rice for both, lunch and dinner, and so I did, plus some roasted fish with potatoes and a couple of unnecessary eggs, but I happen to like eggs a lot.

I got enough time as well to prepare Harry, our dog, a good over fish-watered rice with fish portions for his dinner.
The plan was crushing a while on bed after lunch to get some relaxing rest and so we did, electricity was gone by that time, but it didn't matter, it was a fresh Sunday and we stood there for a while.

Dinner had just to be warmed and after a good bath together getting to eat was a piece of cake. As we have done other times before we took our small laptop to the table and had dinner while watching a light movie we had picked up, it was an old Romantic Comedy entitled What Happens in Vegas which we finished in bed ending up that way a bit better weekend in general and specifically a better KFW.

I understand if some of you see nothing fun or extraordinary in this weekend, and it's ok, but it was amazing for us, since it's been quite a while since we could spend a weekend kids-homework and responsibilities free and also with a chance to relax and do something different, even if different it's just as simple as this was.
