4 liters

I was an habitual runner a while ago. I used to run about 10 kilometers 4 times a week. My body wanted more but my bones didn't get along with the pavement and some knower friend told me that if I wasn't an athlet there was no need to force my body to do more.
I really enjoyed running. As a matter of fact, running is the only excersise I used to enjoy without getting bored.
Running did so much good to me.
My headphones, the road ahead, nature in both sides of it and I, it was perfect.
An accident took that from me for a while. But I'll be going back to it soon enough.
This ain't about that though. But running is a good choice to clear mind and get body fit.
One day, a day of those I felt unstoppable, a day in which I ran the distance and my legs and body didn't even felt the effort, I had a visit in the night, an unexpected and unwanted-disgusting visit. A nephritic colic stroke me that night, a strong and long lasting one, I couldn't sleep at all, I couldn't do anything but punching the walls out of pain and frustration cause there was nothing I could do or position I could adopt to relieve that stabbing I was feeling in the back.
I could have done something before to avoid that though.
Four liters, at least.
That's the amount of water the doctor said I had to drink everyday to prevent things like that to happen to me. Our body needs water, kidneys as well as a fundamental part of it, they must he taken care of for their optimal functioning and long lasting health, and that's entirely up to us, if they fail at functioning then we are probably death

I'm a guy who sweats a lot, this here, is a fucken hot and humid climate as well. When running I literally waterfell sweat down and lost a lot of my body liquid. Without the proper consumption of water that led me to the unwanted visit that night that stayed till the next day I ended up in the urgency department of the hospital.
You weren't hungry boy, you were just thirsty.
That's a joke from a story I heard a while ago, in which a boy stood in front of the president claiming to be starving. The president ordered his assistant to set a plate with food but before he asked for water and started giving the boy one glass of it after the other. Once the boy said he wanted no more several glasses after, the president offered him the plate with food and the boy rejected it cause water was about to go ears out of his body, given the amount he drank. And that's when the president told him the quote.
It's a bad joke I know. But not drinking the water our body needs is not a joke, plus all the benefits that water provides.
I reflect around a lot, more than I should I guess and this came to me after one of those moments in which I felt my body needed to go back to running, which made me remember that experience.
As I said up there, I'll be back to running soon, cause my body has a voice I listen to carefully and the other one, the doctor's, keeps rounding my head ever since with some echo in it.
4 liters, 4 liters...
