Opening Major Chests in Splinterlands

Today is the day to open Loot Chests in Splinterlands to increase my collection of Reward cards in the game and to get some extra energy to increase my Glint and SPS earnings during the season.

As I mentioned in other posts, my goal is to open 300 Minor Chests, 150 Major Chests and 30 Ultimate Chests each season in Splinterlands, I chose Loot Chests because they are the most fun option to get in the rewards store and because they give me the chance to get valuable jackpots, so in my opinion Loot Chests are the best options in the rewards store.

I accumulated 31,756 Glint to spend on Loot Chests today and my choice will be the Major Chests because I can open them in greater quantity than the Ultimate Chests and because this is the best option to get energy.

Each Major Chest costs 1,000 Glint, so with 31,756 Glint I will be able to buy and open 31 Major Chests.

The Major Chest Drop Chances are:

  • 33% chance of earning Reward Cards.
  • 30% chance of earning Potions.
  • 26% chance of earning Mertis.
  • 10% chance of earning Energy.
  • 0.01% chance of earning Jackpot.

The chances of winning jackpots are low, but I hope that I will get one someday. Unfortunately, so far I haven't gotten any, even after opening thousands of Loot Chests.

Now let's see how my luck is and if I'll be lucky enough to get good cards, lots of energy, or even a jackpot.




It seems that my luck with jackpots continues to be as bad as ever and I didn't get any again, but my luck with getting energy wasn't too bad and this time I got 11 energy. Compared to the Loot Chests I opened previously, this amount is quite high at 31 Major Chests.

One of the strategies I like to use when opening Loot Chests is to always use Alchemy potions to open them because this increases my chances of getting Gold Foil cards and I burn them to get some extra Glint, so I can fulfill my goal with the Loot Chests if I don't get enough Glint in the season to open all the Loot Chests.
