Call For a Ban on Telegram's Hamster Kombat?

Head of Russia's State Duma Bank Committee, Anatoly Aksakov has called for a ban on Telegram's tap-to-earn game Hamster Kombat, calling it as a potential scam.

According to Anatoly, Hamster Kombat manipulates minds of the players and target those seeking quick profits through little efforts.

Anatoly, in a recent interview criticized the tactics of the game likening them to fraudulent schemes. He noted that the State Duma will address the matter and pointed out that the game's extra activities, which promise higher revenue and quicker advancement, are typical characteristics of scams.

Anatoly shared with the local media,

Such things must be stopped. In my opinion, this is clearly a scam. Manipulation and use of the psychology of citizens. Especially those who do not really want to work, but dream that they can play with a minimum of effort and get rich.

Hamster Kombat was launched in March on Telegram and is a tap-to-earn crypto game. It distributes TON-based digital assets, which are virtual HMSTR tokens in-game. Toghrul Aliyev, a market analyst, has issued a warning, stating that HMSTR coins could see extreme volatility once trading begins and that initial sell orders could cause a dramatic decline in price.

The remarks of Anatoly underlines a growing concern about the impact of such games on the financial well-being of the public.

I have been playing Hamster Kombat for some days now and if you ask me about my opinion, I don't see any issue with it so far as long as I am collecting those points for free while playing the game and completing some tasks.
