How I managed my home #contest262

Ladies of Hive
Hello 👋 everyone,
Welcome to my blog.
Today I am going to tell you guys how I manage my home.

Gone are the days when it was the responsibility of our fathers to provide everything for the family while our mothers took care of the children, home, and house chores, and also made sure everything was going smoothly. Even at that, they still had their own small businesses that brought in money to support the family income.

Even in today's world, things haven’t changed very much, at least at my end. Now, women have to work even more in order to support the family income due to the economic situation.

Let me take you into my home so you can get to know how I manage mine. First, my husband is a federal government worker who, most of the time, is not at home. He is at his workplace where he spends almost three months or even half a year before we get to see him.

When he comes to spend about a month with us, he does help me around the house, but the truth is, I prefer to do the housework myself, as his way of doing chores creates more work for me at the end of the day.

I, on the other hand, am a businesswoman. I am into buying and selling shoes, bags, and oil perfumes. I sell from home; I post on my WhatsApp status, and with the help of my delivery guy, I reach and serve my customers. With this, I am able to support my family.

As of now, we have one baby girl who is in her preschool age. Taking care of her and running my business is not easy. After all the house chores and everything, my baby still needs my full attention—except sometimes when she allows my neighbors to carry her and spend time with them.

Guys, I think the work of being a nursing mother and managing the household alone is enough.
This makes me believe that no one can ever pay us enough for being mothers—only God Almighty can crown our efforts.

This is how we have been managing our home, and by God’s grace, there is an understanding between the two of us. Our home is running smoothly without fighting one another over who is providing and who is not.

All these things were taught to me by my parents, and that is how I grew up seeing them. That’s why, after I got married, I have been able to run and manage my home and business at the same time.

Thank you for reading.

Sigh, Gone are the days when one income was enough. As long as the shared responsibilities are clear, agreeable and out of love it will always work. I do not have the benefit of a working spouse but by sheer will I managed to afford a home with a Rental suite for the second income to support my family. My sons did learn to cook and take on some of the chores, they know how hard I worked to have a roof over our heads.

Perhaps one day, your baby girl will be running your sales business, or one of her own. Inspire her!

Most the year your husband is not home which makes it difficult sharing tasks, you have been blessed with a child.

Mothers cope juggling tasks, mystical inner strength in running a home, sound content which is a good sign.
