Overthinking ruins friendships and relationships. Overthinking creates problems you never had. Dont overthink, just overflow with Good Vibes.
Its funny how you don't even have to hurt an over-thinker physically, emotionally, or mentally. We do it ourselves. The biggest way to hurt us is leave us alone with our thoughts and that will do the job. We take things to the worst before the worst can happen. We prepare ourselves for the hurt already on its way. We run when we see things going on a bad direction. We don't let people in. We run from our problems. We run from the ones who would hurt us the most. We distance ourselves so you don't see the hurt lying under our eyes. It's so easy to tell only if you'd look the tiniest bit closer into our eyes. You'd see it all on display. Under the fake smiles. Under the mask we use to hide our pain. Under the distance we create. Under the "i'm tired" we respond to with everything. We are tired just not of what you think. It's not the lack of sleep but the emotional pain we keep to ourselves. The stress we hold in. We don't want to feel like a burden. But that's how it always turns out. We feel as if we'd tell you something and you'd take it out of proportion. The things we tell you stay there. We keep them between us. We require trust. A lot of trust. We keep the things we talk about under wraps. We don't want others to know how bad we get. There is one fix. I will always think like that. Unless you give us a safe space to let out every little thing we need. All the bad, good, crazy stupid thoughts and everything in between.
Maybe you overthink so much because:
■ You didn't grow up in a safe environment
■ You took on adult duties way too early in life
■ You get hurt no matter how hard you try
■ You were harshly judged for making mistakes
■ You had to figure out everything on your own
■ You were made to feel you aren't good enough
Please stop overthinking life like you have to have an answer to every feeling or situation. That's not how life works. We figure it all out by just living, by fucking up, by missing an opportunity, by seeking advice and not taking it. We learn what's important and what isn't. Sometimes we have no fucking idea what to do and it's scary but it's okay. Always trust your gut and know that everything will work out exactly the way it is supposed to be. It always does. Relax, we were never in control anyway"
To the Overthinkers
A side-effect of overthinking is that you also become very sensitive. you notice the smallest change in someone's behaviour they way they talk, text, or smile. you notice things which you shouldn't. you wish people knew that overthinking isn't a car that you can simply pull the break and stop it.
STAY POSITIVE STAY SAFE
We shouldn't think about everything, somethings happened to us just for our good or bad sake, we must learn from them instead of wasting our time while thinking about those moments or time, !WEED !BEER !LUV
