Welcome to Kunamera Bay on the Isle of Pines

If you asked people what a picture perfect beach looks like they might say describe this, and they would be fairly close to the perfect beach. This is Kunamera Bay on the Isle of Pines in New Caledonia, and yes it looks like this, or at least it does when the sun is out, which is most of the time, and when it isn't it still looks fairly good. It's a beautiful bay, at one end is a smaller older style resort (where we were staying) right in the settled part of the bay, this is about 400 or 500m metres up the bay, and as you can see there is about another 500m of beach before it becomes forest. The most people I ever saw in the bay was about 10 or so for the whole week we were there, so as I say pretty close to perfect on and at the edge of the shot is a island, a low tide it's joined to the main beach, at high tide you could probably still walk there but you would get wet
In fact here is another shot with more of the island in it, it did genuinely look like this by the way, I haven't done anything to these shot, I mean I had a polariser on the lens, but that it just like wearing sunglasses. - I mean how perfect is this, it kinda makes me want to go back

Wow, that beach is so beautiful! The blue clouds look so bright. And I really like some of the photos of the beach scenery, which are so bright.
