the Last 6 shots of Waimangu

AI tells me the following about Waimangu Volcanic Valley - It is a unique geothermal park near Rotorua, New Zealand, famed for its spectacular volcanic craters, massive hot water springs, and rare plant life. Highlights include Frying Pan Lake—the world’s largest hot spring—and Inferno Crater Lake, which changes colour according to conditions. Walking trails and narrated boat cruises along Lake Rotomahana reveal the region’s dramatic volcanic history and the remains of the legendary Pink and White Terraces. The valley’s ecosystem features a wide array of birds, native flora, and brilliant microbiology, making it an exceptional natural sanctuary

Somehow, and this is fairly hard to believe it was 6 months ago that I was there, and I spent a good 2 to 3 hours on the walk down to the lake to get on that boat, the boat cruise being the least interesting part of the whole thing and the park being the best part.

There is something otherwordly about the whole place, the mixture of the greenest greens, the odd colours of the waters and the presence of steam all over the place makes it's unlike anything else I've ever experienced.

Which is probably why I took so many photos that's it's taken me 6 months to get through them
