Notes Was the deer interesting enough on it own, maybe not, was the light amazing, the warmth, the glow, sure, but again not enough. Could I have taken the photo without get a shadow of myself in the shot? not really. Does the presence of my arm, my head as I lift the camera to my eye make this photo more than the sum of it parts? I'd like to think so, I think it says something about who I am, how I'm seen by the subjects I shot, but maybe I'm over romanticizing it, maybe it's just a photo of half a deer head and a dudes shadows in it.
