Scenes from a Bike - Edition 29 - Carlton on a Sunday Afternoon

Welcome to The 29th edition of the series - Scenes from a bike

This Edition facts:

Location: Carlton, again a short ride from home, it's in the inner North of Melbourne, Australia, it is near Melbourne Uni.

Date & Weather: Sunday the 10th of November 2024- It sunny but really not all that hot it's like 20 degrees Celsius at best.

Equipment: My Fujifilm X-T5, mated with the much under used 16mm F2.4 prime Fujinon lens. I like taking just a single prime with me, it makes me think more. Although I should note that the XT-5 does allow a 1.4X and 2.0 X teleconverter, so I sort of have a 16mm a 22mm and 32mm. I also only used a 3:2 aspect ratio because again - think about your composition.

The Concept & Finances: The concept is simple, I've bought an electric bike, on this bike I explore my hometown, Melbourne Australia and take photos, Priority 1 - Finding new places in Melbourne, Priority 2 - taking better photos, Bonus - Earn back the cost of the bike by creating content and getting paid for it on HIVE. The bike cost $1,100 USD. So far I've earned $162.32 from the previous 28 paid out posts meaning I've paid for just almost 15% of the bike. This is going to take some time, but this is all bonus money, the joy is in the taking of photos.

Other stuff: This trip was spontaneous it was a nice day and I wanted to go somewhere, so pretty much exactly what this is meant to be.

So let's see the 6 shots I got on the trip that I'm happy with - warning moody blue skies and dramatic shadows ahead.

The Pipes at the back of a building, all stainless steel and whatnot

The space between two buildings or urban fabric as I think the developers call it

You don't really get circular buildings in Melbourne, all that inefficiency, but circle's exist in nature, just ask the clouds.
