Barcelona, a town of street art - Part 2

avatar

Barcelona is not my home town, but I don't like to find Art when I travel. This is the second part of the things I found when visiting in September 2023 (Part 1 is here )

Street art 7 (1 of 1).jpg

I seemed a little more interested in the art than anyone else there that day

Street art 10 (1 of 1).jpg

This whole place (which is sort of near Park Guell if you go in a strange way) was amazing. Check out the bear on the bike in the background. The words I believe mean in a mixture of Spanish and Catalan are 'Not even our things, nor the neighbourhoods and the of the territories of conquest'

Street art 8 (1 of 1).jpg

I do like the scale of this piece, even if it does feel a little commercial and refined.

Street art 6 (1 of 1).jpg

This is a little more punk, but still was in the art market type space which I forget the name of and was trying maybe a little too hard to be cool.

Street Art 4 (1 of 1).jpg

This was in the old town and again looks quite planned, but I did like the concept.

Street Art 3 (1 of 1).jpg

and this final piece is more the chaos I like, artist on top of artist

Nice post. I like the woodpecker on the skull. The smaller portrait of the lady on the wall with the guy in the stocking cap is my favorite. I think my tastes are somewhere in the middle - commercial art doesn't always fit on the streets but in too much chaos you can lose some good works.

Very cool selection of StreetArt, especially on the last pic with the paste-ups and tags, interesting final result. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a wonderful day.
