Winter tasks / Trabajos de invierno [Eng-Esp]
Greetings cannabis culture lovers. Although we are in winter in these latitudes and the outdoor cannabis season is over, there are many things to do. It's time to prepare the substrate for the next season and see how the boxes are. I still have several boxes to clean that are waiting their turn. In this box a couple of tomato plants have come out after harvesting the plants.
Saludos amantes de la cultura cannábica. Aunque estamos en invierno por estas latitudes y la temporada de cannabis de exterior ya terminó, hay muchas cosas que hacer. Es el momento de preparar el sustrato para la próxima temporada y ver como están las cajas. Aún me quedan varias cajas por limpiar que esperan su turno. En esta caja han salido un par de tomateras después de cosechar las plantas.
In this other one I put, after harvesting, some marigold seeds because, they are good for fixing atmospheric nitrogen to the soil and give very nice orange flowers in the middle of winter.
En esta otra puse, después de cosechar, unas semillas de caléndula ya que, son buenas para fijar el nitrógeno atmosférico al suelo y da unas flores naranjas muy bonitas en pleno invierno.
So far, nothing has come out of these. I keep the substrate moist because there are earthworms in the soil and I don't want them to die.
En estas, de momento, no ha salido nada . Mantengo el sustrato húmedo porqué hay lombrices en la tierra y no quiero que se mueran.
I'm taking the soil out of the boxes and mixing it with the vegetable scraps from home in this bucket, just vegetable scraps.
Voy sacando la tierra de las cajas y mezclándola con los restos vegetales de casa en esta cubeta, solo restos vegetales.
I also put the leftover coffee in them. Sometimes, I think I give them too much coffee when I speed up a bit after smoking one 😂.
También les pongo los restos de café. A veces, pienso que les doy demasiado café cuando me acelero un poco después de fumarme uno 😂.
Then I put the substrate in sacks until spring and the worms do the rest.
Después pongo el sustrato en sacos hasta la primavera y las lombrices hacen el resto.
When the boxes are empty, I check them. These wheels need to be replaced. I would have to put them in stainless steel but it's a lot of money for each wheel.
Cuando las cajas están vacías, las reviso. Estas ruedas las tengo que cambiar. Tendría que ponerlas de acero inoxidable pero vale una pasta cada ruedecita.
This is how the gloves look at the end of the season. I'm going to make a list of everything I'll need for next season.

I think I also need more space, the terrace has become too small. I will have to think seriously about looking for a bigger place in the future. We will see, for now we will continue preparing for the next season. See you in the next post and have a great day.

Was wondering when we will see you start back up, but then I remembered it is still winter in your area. How cold does it normally get?
It does not freeze at night. With the right conditions and varieties I think it could be grown year round with the permission of Mr. powdery mildew.
En mi caso ya compre 25 litros de tierra para las plantas :D igual ese sustrato que preparas se ve bastante bien.
Antes compraba toda la tierra y los abonos, desde que hago el humus de lombriz casero hace ya un par de años que no compro nada. El colega del growshop está mosca porqué no le compro como antes.
