Tears On Lined Paper

"Draw a sad face," my children said—and just like that, I decided to sketch a sad cartoon face on a simple sheet of paper: the face of a little sad boy, eyes wide and shimmering with heartbreak, tears rolling like tiny ink rivers. His dropping eyebrows, trembling lips, and fragile expression remind us that sadness isn't only loud; sometimes it whispers quietly through art.

What began as a playful request became a gentle portrait of tenderness and laughter.

MATERIALS I USED FOR MY SKETCH

A ballpoint pen

A plain sheet of paper.
