Time for a little Leisure Time!

We all could use a little leisure time every now and then, especially on a hot, hot, hot July #beersaturday in North Carolina.

I always try to find something a little new and a little different to enjoy and share on #beersaturday.

Because . . . well why not! The whole purpose, at least for me, is to find a new beer to share with all my fellow #beersaturday Hivians!

Just to give you a little idea of how hot it is here in North Carolina, the Mrs. @handofzara and I took our dog for a walk this morning. After we came home, I found her here, asleep in front of the AC vent.

It is a tad bit dark, since we close all the shades by 10 am to keep the heat out.

Nothing really exciting going on today, just a lazy, hazy hot day. Time to kick back and get a little leisure time, seeing as it is Saturday and all.

As the Sun sets over the yardarm, it is time to pour a nice cold beer.

So the Mrs. @handofzara and I have finally arrived at a place where we actually may have a little more leisure time. See, on July 1st in the Year of Our Lord 2023, we officially became "empty nesters". That's right two weeks ago, we moved the boy down to Charlotte and he started his "big boy" job this past week.

Crap, some where along the way, I got a little old. I think the Mrs. @handofzara may have gotten a little older but don't say anything as she is a little sensitive about the subject. I on the had embrace my bald dome and silver crown! Like I have a choice?

We are two weeks into our leisure time and already the Mrs. @handofzara is trying to find activities for us to share. Yikes!

I always thought the secret to our happy marriage was simply to snarl at each other and complain about how the kids were driving us crazy! I guess that excuse is officially gone.

As I sally forth into a brave new world, wish me luck and perhaps a little leisure time!

More importantly, wish the Mrs. @handofzara a lot of luck! In fact if you are religious, you might want to say a few prayers for her sanity, as over the last thirty plus years of marriage I might have lost mine.

Kids will do that to a man!
