Summer Has Arrived - Time for a Refreshing Seasonal Brew

Summer has arrived in North Carolina with temperatures rising into the HIGH 90's!

Dang son it is hot around these parts! I mean the kind of hot when you you walk outside that your brain begins to fry and a simple thought rushes through of "oh hell no!" Back into the AC or you will surely die!

Now the bad side of a Southern Summer is the scorching heat. The good side of a Southern Summer is that the brewers always provide wonderful Seasonal Beers to quench the thirst.

Tonight, on this hellacious #beersaturday I am enjoying a fantastic Summer Seasonal Beer brewed with blueberries.

Yup! Just as a Marzen Beer means that Fall is upon us, berry brews means that Summer has arrived in North Carolina.

One of my favorite North Carolina brewers offers its very own Berryful Ale.

BEER NAME: Berryful
STYLE: Ale
ABV: 5.0%
BREWER: Highland Brewery Asheville North Carolina
APPEARANCE: deep amber/ruby, clear and pours with a foamy head
AROMA: malts, with slight hint of citrus
TASTE: fruity and tart, almost like a juice box in a can of beer!
MOUTHFEEL: medium body, carbonates well nice tart lingers on the finish

How I can best explain the reaction to this beer:

Yup I have juice pouches in beer!

Confession time. I poured this beer outside, took two sips and then fled to the @handofzara man cave to escape the heat!

Air conditioning saved the South!

There I said it, and I meant it! Without air conditioning only fools and drunkards would dare to live in the South.
