Yes, but it would be great if such information were available on the VSC channel. Who is responsible for communication in your project?

All information about VSC is available on our website and via the VSC discord. If you have any specific questions you can always ask me or @lordbutterfly
So, to the point: when will the second layer tokens be available?
We currently provide the same end user functionality as when Ethereum first launched as a good comparison with what we have to offer regarding tokens/nfts, etc. Have you tried any VSC dapps so far?
So what application should I use to create my own token?
We don't currently have any frontend support yet for token creation, though with a bit of dev knowledge it is pretty easy to create one yourself. We are mainly focused on the Altera frontend that handles cross chain connections and wallet interoperability https://altera.vsc.eco
I've had to copy this conversation to one of LLM model. It seems that it confirms my concerns.
Is this good communication?
Short answer: Not really. Here's why:
What’s not good about it:
It avoids the question.
The user asked "When?" — a clear, time-based question.
The response doesn’t provide a timeline, date, or even say “soon” or “no ETA.” That leaves the user unsatisfied.
Vague comparisons.
Saying “we provide the same functionality as when Ethereum first launched” is unclear to many users. Not everyone knows what Ethereum offered at launch.
Shifts responsibility to the user.
Asking “Have you tried any VSC dapps?” might come off as deflecting, instead of acknowledging the concern.
Lacks transparency.
It doesn’t clearly say, “Layer 2 tokens are not available yet,” or explain why. That may erode trust.
To put in simple terms we provide smart contracts with identical functionality to what Ethereum offered when it first launched. This means you can create tokens, NFTs, etc with some coding knowledge required (this is available now). We don't currently provide any frontend support for that as our main focus right now is cross chain connections and wallet interoperability. I recommend anyone reading this to look at what we are currently offering (i.e Altera) and what our long terms goals are + our value proposition from a high level. On another note, I invite you guys to actually try out what we have live right now and start getting a good feedback cycle going plus help increase engagement with the community overall.
To be honest, Altera is completely counterintuitive. I prefer V4V.
It sounds like you are thinking of a specific use case. My DMs are open to more in-depth feedback you may have.
