1_ On the funeral of Qari Ayub Chaniuti, may God have mercy on him

Scholars of different schools including Ahl-e-Hadith were taking turns to praise the deceased for a few minutes. When Shaykh al-Hadith Maulana Rafiq Ethri, may God have mercy on him, came to deliver the funeral, he said as soon as he came that this was the way of the polytheists.

They used to place the deceased in front of him and start praising him. This should be avoided, it is not a safe method.

2_ On the occasion of the funeral of Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, may God have mercy on him

Dr. Hamad Lakhvi sat in the first row when he was invited to say condolence words

Sheikh Al-Hadith Mufti Sanaullah Madani, may God have mercy on him, said that preaching at a funeral is an act against the Sunnah.

Dr. Hamad Lakhvi sat there, and did not preach.

3_ On the occasion of the funeral of Maulana Ubaidullah Afif, may God have mercy on him, Sheikh Irshad al-Haq was invited to say words of praise, so he refused saying: "This action is not proven by the Sunnah."

Some people say that the Companions also used to praise the deceased

Or what did they preach and advise on this occasion. This is the result of getting away from the correct understanding of religion. The Companions were highly mentioned figures

But when he saw some people sitting in circles and chanting collectively in a specific way

So he expressed extreme anger. Therefore, there is no problem in eulogizing the deceased.

But keeping the dead body in front of him according to the customs and traditions and getting praise from the big people and making Mashhad a gathering place for funerals, which require fullness and humility and supplication.

It is a shameful and inappropriate act. That is why great and serious scholars have always prohibited it.

4_ At the funeral of Hafiz Muhammad Yusuf Gakhrovi, may God have mercy on him

A series of formal tributes and words of praise had begun on the part of some scholars. Imam al-Asr Muhaddith Hafiz Muhammad Gondalvi, may God have mercy on him, started saying in great anger!

Stop this series, why are you inviting Allah's wrath?!

This is not the time for speeches, but for lessons and advice.

5_ Maulana Abdul Hameed Azhar, may Allah have mercy on him, had made a will before his death that he would not hold a program of eulogies at my funeral.

Because of this will, nothing was done in his funeral.

At the funeral of

Your son read out your written will

That eulogies and speeches should not be made at my funeral

Because this is clearly against the Sunnah, but rather an innovation

My party friends

These were our ancestors

In their lives, there was extreme hatred for polytheism and heresy and these great personalities had a strong belief in the Book and the Sunnah.

It is my heartfelt prayer

May Allah Ta'ala keep the scholars of today also steadfast on the Book and Sunnah Amen
