PERSECUTION
Fitna is an Arabic word and in the Arabic dictionary it means "putting gold into the fire so that its alloy is removed, so that pure gold remains." "
Fitna is called Fitna because it is actually a fire into which people fall, some people will succeed in Fitna and some will fail. Those who succeed are like pure gold and those who fail are like alloy. .
That is why we need perseverance in times of trials so that we can be pure gold and not alloy.
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has pointed out many temptations in his ummah, there are many hadiths, for example: "Tamuj al-fitn Kamuj al-Bahr" means "There will be temptations, like the waves of the sea."
Every subsequent temptation will make the previous temptation smaller.
When the waves rise, if a person is deep in the sea, he is afraid of the waves so that this wave does not sweep him away. They are scary and people think that.
"Huzha Mhalka" This temptation will sink me and this temptation will destroy me.
"Tamuj Kamuj al-Bahr" (Tribulations will arise like the waves of the sea) in it indicates two things, one is the frequent occurrence of temptations, because the waves of the sea do not subside and do not stop. And the second is the successive coming of temptations, because The waves of the sea come one after the other without any break, and in a hadith the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a disbeliever:
"Tareez al-Fitn Ali al-Qulub, Kareaz Al-Husseer Ooda Ooda" that the invasion of temptations will be on the hearts of people.
This is the most dangerous temptation.
May Allah Ta'ala grant us Tawfiq to avoid temptations, Ameen.
