A Super Hectic Day at Work (With 83 patients)! | Alive and Thriving on April 01, 2025

Hi there. How are you? I hope you are doing great. Welcome to my short diary for Tuesday, April 01, 2025!

The Eid holiday (one day only!) was over and I was back to work on Tuesday morning. One doctor was off, and another doctor was sent to another clinic. Hence, I was alone (as a GP). And, it was a super hectic day for me (after a long time)!

On Tuesday, I had to consult 83 patients in my chamber. I worked for 11 hours and a half. In the morning shift ( 5 hours and a half), I consulted 36 patients. In the evening shift (6 hours), I consulted 47 patients! There was continued patient flow throughout the duty time! I had to close the registration counter 15 minutes before the end time!

Following the Eid feast, a good number of patients visited with tummy upsets (abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea); both adults and children. However, patients with cold, cough, fever etc also visited (majority category). One child came with a cut injury to his chin that I needed to stitch up!

No people came for the visa medical fitness tests (government offices are still closed). Hence, I was a bit relaxed!

According to the Fitbit app, I could make 10,012 steps on Tuesday. I could walk on the treadmill for 15 minutes after lunch!

Okay. That's all for today. Alhamdulillah, I am alive, healthy, and thriving. How about you?

I bet you slept well after a long shift like that, 83 people to see by yourself, you were a busy busy man. I hope today goes much better.
